From Fear to Faith
Pastor: John Mabary Series: Stand Alone Sermons Scripture: Psalm 13:1–6
The Psalms comprise the prayerbook of the Bible. The psalms provide us with prayers breathed out by the Holy Spirit. John Calvin commented that the psalms are "an anatomy of all the parts of the soul," in which the whole range of human emotion is expressed to God in prayer. This Sunday, the sermon will be based on Psalm 13. In it, you may hear your own heart crying out to God as the psalmist moves from fear to faith. In preparation, meditate on Psalm 13 and let it speak for you.
Our hymns for this week include “Holy, Holy Holy!” “Man of Sorrows! What a Name,” and “All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name.”
