"Glorifying God by Building Laborers on the Campus for the Lost World."
What that looks like is a passion to build laborers who are committed to Jesus and His Great Commission through evangelism and discipleship. It means purposefully and passionately reaching students with the gospel and training them to become mature followers of Christ. It means seeing students equipped to labor in the harvest field for the glory of God.
You might say Campus Outreach and REPC got engaged in 2006. Matt Bradner, who was then an Area Director from Campus Outreach Charlotte, approached the REPC Session with a proposal for REPC to become the franchise church for the newly starting Campus Outreach Lynchburg. It didn't take long for the Session to see the wisdom and strategy for helping reach the next generation of leaders and laborers for Christ in their most formative years. So in 2007, the REPC voted to become the franchise church for the newly formed Campus Outreach Lynchburg.
That partnership continues to flourish today under the leadership of Cam Colquitt as staff from Campus Outreach Lynchburg (many of whom were students in Campus Outreach) minister to students on five college campuses in the region:
