The Rivermont Preschool policy is all weather-related cancellations or delays will be made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Preschool Director and in conjunction with the Church office. In general, Rivermont Preschool will follow the decisions made by Lynchburg City Schools. However, some weather situations do not impact Rivermont Preschool in the same way as Lynchburg City Schools.
A decision for a weather-related cancellation or delay will be made by 6:00 a.m. on the school day. All weather-related cancellations or delays will be announced to families via text, email, and on WSET’s website and television station ABC 13 WSET. This information will also be posted on this page of the church’s website (https://www.rivermont.org/inclement-weather).
Rivermont Preschool will make every effort to make up missed school days when more than three days are missed due to inclement weather. Missed school days may be made up by adding one hour to the school day over three consecutive school days or by having school on a previously non-scheduled school day.
