ONGOING MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Sunday School: A time of fellowship, worship, and the study of God's Word. We believe the Holy Spirit changes people through the Word of God, so the Scriptures are at the forefront of all our teaching. Students are placed in classes based upon grade. Here is what each class is studying this Winter/Spring.
- 7th Grade: Basic Christian Beliefs led by David Weber and Brad Weaver: Students will examine and study the essentials of Christian theology and in doing so will learn about the characteristics of God, being created in the image of God, what God has done for us in Christ, the purpose of the church, and much more.
- 8th Grade: James led by Mike Lovell, Ryan Webb, and John Britton: In the fall and winter students learned how to study the Bible and will now put to practice the tools they were taught by studying the book of James. This book is full of great wisdom and application that will allow students to continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ.
Sunday Night Live: SNL takes place during the school year and is a relational time of snacks, fun, and games. We believe the Holy Spirit changes people through the Word and relationships, so please come and enjoy spending time with each other. To see when SNL meets please visit the church calendar.
Rivermont Fellowship Night: The Gospel of Mark led by Shane Whelan and team: Of the four Gospels, Mark is the shortest and also the fastest-paced Gospel account. Mark focuses on Jesus as the one who ushers in the kingdom of God. Through his life and teaching, but especially through his death and resurrection, Jesus fulfills all the Old Testament hopes and promises, bringing in the long-expected new age. RFN meets each Wednesday night through April 1. Dinner is at 5:45pm in the Fellowship Hall and Bible study begins at 6:30pm.
No Walls Picnic: Join us the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Hunton-Randolph Center on 12th Street from 12:00-2:00pm for a meal and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ from the No Walls ministry.
