Club 56

The transition from children’s ministry to youth ministry isn’t necessarily an easy one, though it can certainly be an exciting one. To make that transition easier for sixth graders and earlier for fifth graders, we created Club 56.

Each week, Club 56 meets on Sunday mornings, 9:45am - 10:40am, as part of Sunday School in Room 207.

They also meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:25 pm as part of Rivermont Fellowship Night in Room 207, where they enjoy fun, games, and the importance of memorizing God’s Word. Students will spend two weeks on each verse and learn how the Word of God can encourage, strengthen, and comfort their souls.

Club 56'ers will have a special event planned that they can participate in once a quarter.

For more information on Club 56, contact Shane Whelan.

"Every Christian family ought to be, as it were, a little church consecrated to Christ, and wholly influenced and governed by His rule. And family education and order are some of the chief means of grace. If these fail, all other means are likely to prove ineffectual. If these are duly maintained, all the means of grace will be likely to prosper and be successful." (Jonathan Edwards)

We believe the Bible teaches that the home is God's primary context for children to learn and embrace Christian teachings, values, and behavior. We believe it is the parents' role to be the primary spiritual caretakers of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).  So how do we help prepare youth for Christian adulthood?

Ministry Objectives
Help students grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
Equip parents as they train their children to fear and love the Lord
Love and serve all people
Prepare students for Christian adulthood through relationships, word, and deed
