"Every Christian family ought to be as it were a little church consecrated to Christ, and wholly influenced and governed by His rule. And family education and order are some of the chief means of grace. If these fail, all other means are likely to prove ineffectual. If these are duly maintained, all the means of grace will be likely to prosper and be successful." (Jonathan Edwards)
We believe the Bible teaches that the home is God's primary context for children to learn and embrace Christian teachings, values and behavior. We believe it is the parents' role to be the primary spiritual caretakers of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). So how do we help prepare youth for Christian adulthood?
- Help students grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
- Equip parents as they train their children to fear and love the Lord
- Love and serve all people
- Prepare students for Christian adulthood through relationships, word, and deed
