Children's Church is designed to help prepare children ages Pre-K through 1st grade for sanctuary worship. Children will begin by participating in worship service with their parents. They will be dismissed during the passing of the peace. Their time includes prayer, singing, Bible teaching, and free play. In the spring, the class will begin to mirror the worship service preparing the first graders to join their families in worship beginning in the fall.

Children's Church
We asked Carol Hardin why she teaches Children’s Church. Here’s what she said:
"'To all generations, I will make known Your faithfulness.' Psalm 89:1
Teaching Children’s Church at Rivermont has been a wonderful opportunity for me these past few years to help make known God’s faithfulness to our little 4-6 year-olds. Ann Knight, former Director of Children’s Ministries, graciously provided the prepared lessons early the previous week, which allows me time to focus on meditating on the Bible passage, pray for the children and our teaching team, and think of additional fun ways to enhance the lesson. The children are a delight, and I simply desire to be an instrument of Jesus’s love, grace and truth while teaching them. Since Children’s Church teachers are only asked to commit to teaching one time a month, that gives me plenty of flexibility to also help with other Sunday ministries or to travel to spend time with my own children and grandchildren in other states.  More volunteers are needed to help with Children’s Church, and I encourage you to prayerfully consider whether the Lord is calling you to assist with this ministry."

To provide the children with a safe and loving environment, we need TWO ADULTS AND ONE YOUTH HELPER during each class. Take advantage of this opportunity to get to know our young believers and help them develop the foundation in their faith. To sign up, please click here. (All volunteers must have a background check before working with the children.) Please contact Kelly Nelson, if you are interested.
