Join us this Friday at 6:30pm in the Quinlan large youth room down the discipleship wing for ice cream and a movie, featuring Encanto.  Encanto tells the story of a family in Colombia gifted with magical gifts to bless the community. These gifts were given when the father sacrificed his life to save and protect his family.  As the story unfolds, we begin to see that this family, which was built on the sacrificial love of the father, becomes a pressure cooker of performance. Each child and the house begin to crumble under the weight of family expectations. What will set this family free from the curse of brokenness and dysfunction, but an act of true love?

As we enjoy the entertainment of movies, we often see echoes of our deep longing for God and the cracks and brokenness of this fallen world. Come and join us as we see this longing for true familial love and the brokenness of family pressures.  Consider the steadfast love of our savior Jesus Christ who by his sacrificial death has saved and gifted us to bless our community. Consider how the true family love of the church can heal the brokenness of family dysfunction and direct us to serve our community in love.

All ages are welcome, but we will not have childcare available.

Ice cream will begin at 6:30pm and the movie will start at 6:45pm. The movie is about one hour and forty-five minutes.
