Preparing For The Lord's Day

Preparing for the Lord's Day

On this Lord’s Day, we continue our sermon series on the “Order of Salvation” by focusing on our adoption as the children of God. We will celebrate the beauty of salvation as God makes us members of His family. We will look to Galatians 4:4-7 in a sermon titled “Sons and Daughters!” To come prepared for the sermon, please be in prayer and meditate upon John 1:12-13, Romans 8:14-17, Galatians 4:4-7, and Ephesians 1:4-6. As we remember Christ’s forgiveness of our sins in a tangible way through the Lord’s Supper, please examine your hearts and come yielded before Him.

As we gather to worship our Savior this Lord’s Day, we will join our hearts in song, singing the Hymn of Praise “Christ Is Made the Sure Foundation,” the Acclamation of Praise “Crown Him with Many Crowns,” the Communion Hymn “I Am the Bread of Life,” and the Hymn of Response “For All the Saints.” During the Communion Prayer, we will also remember those saints of this congregation who have been called heavenward during the last year, as November 1 is designated as All Saints’ Day.
