Westminster Shorter Catechism (WSC) #90 asks, “How is the Word to be read and heard, that it may become effectual to salvation?” Every week we gather together to worship and to hear the Word of God preached, but what is the proper response we should have to the Word of God? How is it to be read and heard so that it will lead to salvation and spiritual growth? This week we seek to answer this question through a study of Nehemiah 8:1-12.
