Extravagant Devotion

This Lord’s Day, we’ll turn to John 12:1-8 and explore “Extravagant Devotion” as Mary anoints Jesus with expensive perfume just before His triumphal entry into Jerusalem and His certain death and resurrection. The setting: a marvelous celebration as Jesus enters a home for dinner; the noteworthy guests include Lazarus whom Jesus has raised from the dead, Mary who is about to show her love in a way that will be remembered forever, Martha who is serving, and Judas who will soon betray Him. How will the guests respond? How will we respond to Christ’s love today?
