Prayer Opportunities
Prayer does not fit us for the greater work, it is the greater work. - Oswald Chambers
Rivermont seeks to provide multiple opportunities for God's people to gather in prayer to ask God to bring about the personal and corporate renewal and revival we need as a church and country.
Sunday
We gather at 5:00pm in the Chapel each week to pray through the morning sermon text using the ACTS model. This hour-long prayer service is led by the pastors.
Monday
We gather on Monday mornings at 10:00am in Country Gardens for a time of fellowship and prayer as we pray using the ACTS model.
Care & Support
"For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ."
2 Corinthians 1:5
As a covenant family, we believe that renewal takes place as we grow--not only in our relationship with Jesus Christ, but also as we do life together.
We often deepen our connections with God and each other when we choose to seek guidance and care within the family of faith. Often, those closest to you support you graciously in times of concern or crisis. At other times, you may need the support of those who have been called to shepherd.
While each of us has personal responsibility for growth through God's compelling love, we count it a privilege and a gift to walk with you and to serve you as you face various needs in life.
Support Groups
"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
We are not immune to the daily challenges of living in a broken and fallen world. Some know those challenges more acutely and need the support of others to walk through them. Rivermont has several support groups that are aimed at providing the needed support to walk through some of life's greatest challenges, like the loss of a loved one, caring for an aging parent, or a special needs family member. We are committed to providing a safe place for you to not only receive care but also give care to others.
Caregivers' Support Group
Our Caregivers' Support Group provides support and care for those who are serving as caregivers for an aging or chronically ill family member. This group provides an opportunity to discuss the challenges of caregiving as well as explore healthy practices of caring for the caregiver.
The Caregivers' Support group is led by Adrienne Scruggs. They meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 11:00 am in The Family Room.
