We're Hiring: Properties and Building Assistant

Rivermont EPC is looking for a dependable, hardworking Properties and Building Assistant to help maintain and care for our church buildings and grounds. This role is essential to the daily operation of our facilities, supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for worship, ministry, and community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor repairs and improvements as assigned

  • Identify and report areas in need of maintenance or repair

  • Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems, fire extinguishers, alarm systems, and replace lightbulbs, filters, etc.

  • Assist in stocking supply cabinets and support kitchen and cleaning services as needed

  • Support church staff with day-to-day operational needs

  • Set up rooms with tables and chairs for Sunday School classes and various events

  • Be available for on-call maintenance or weather-related emergencies

Qualifications:

  • Physically able to work full shifts and lift/move up to 20 lbs

  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to doing the job right the first time

  • Ability to work independently after training

  • Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor

  • Ability to relate well to church members, staff, and especially your direct supervisor
