Welcome Team Volunteers Needed
Visiting a new church is never easy.
It's like going to a different grocery store than the one you're used to going to. They generally have all the same things, it's just laid out differently. Depending on your patience level, it can feel frustrating trying to figure out "where things are."
The job of the Welcome team is to not only welcome visitors, it's also to help them navigate this new church experience. It's to help them find bathrooms or Sunday School classes or the cry room. This can be the difference in a visitor calling Rivermont their church home. We've had several visitors go through the Getting To Know Rivermont Class and become members, who cited the help of someone at the Welcome Table or Usher that demonstrated the care for visitors.
Are you someone who enjoys helping people? Do you enjoy making people feel at home? Do you enjoy helping people make connections with others? If so, you may be the kind of person we're looking for to serve on our Welcome Team.
Members of the Welcome Team serve at the Welcome Table 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the 8:30 or the 11:00am worship service. You're there to answer questions, share information, and most importantly, welcome them to Rivermont. If you'd like to join our team, sign up to become a Welcome Team Member today.
