November 26, 2020- Thanksgiving Day Meditation Recorded Service

As you gather with your family for Thanksgiving, take time to watch Pastor Brett's  devotion, "Too Busy to be Thankful."  We will not hold a Thanksgiving Service in the Sanctuary but we encourage you to take the opportunity to watch the devotion together with your family; the devotion will be featured on our website.

Seven days a week, 365 days a year, a hot, nutritious meal is served to the homeless and hungry of Lynchburg at Daily Bread. Volunteers from the community come in every day to prepare, cook, and serve the meals. In 2019, 33,041 meals were served from their downtown kitchen (located on Clay Street in downtown Lynchburg), and an additional 45,648 were given out through their meals outreach program. They expect to serve more than 700 meals on Thanksgiving. The COVID-19 pandemic has played a large role in the number of people relying on Daily Bread for meals. For more information and/or to volunteer your time at Daily Bread, visit their website at lynchburgdailybread.com.

This year our Thanksgiving Day offering will be given to the Lynchburg Daily Bread. Please make checks payable to Rivermont EPC with Lynchburg Daily Bread in the memo.
