The Christian Life as Pilgrimage
This Sunday, we are delighted to welcome Josh Rutledge as our guest preacher. Josh serves as the Vice President of Spiritual Development at Liberty University, where he oversees the spiritual formation and discipleship of students, helping to cultivate a Christ-centered campus community. Josh, his wife Meredith, and their four children (Annie, John, Ruthie, and Peter) are cherished members of REPC. In addition to being a close and personal friend of Pastor David, Josh shares his passion for ministry—and his enthusiastic love for the Georgia Bulldogs football (Go Dawgs!). We are excited to hear Josh share God’s Word with us and look forward to what the Lord has laid on his heart for our congregation.
To come prepared for worship, take time this week to read and meditate upon Hebrews 11:8-16, Genesis 12:1-3, Joshua 24:2-3, Acts 7:2-5, Romans 4:1-5, James 2:22, and this article on the faith of Abraham.
As we gather to worship the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit this Lord’s day, we will join our hearts in song, singing the Hymn of Praise “Vast the Immensity, Mirror of Majesty,” the Acclamation of Praise, “Tis O Sweet to Trust in Jesus,” and the Hymn of Response “For All the Saints.” Let us come to worship this Sunday prepared to hear God’s Word, to receive it in faith, to love and treasure it in our hearts, and to practice it in our lives that we may continue to glorify and enjoy Him!
