Preparing For The Lord's Day

Preparing for the Lord's Day

With the words, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest,” Jesus begins the most profound invitation revealing our greatest need, the greatest Person, and the greatest solution that we will ever know and experience. While the invitation is familiar, the implications for our hearts and minds provide humility and hope for wholeness and fullness of life. As we prepare to consider “The Ultimate Invitation,” please prepare for worship in prayer and through reading over Matthew 11 with attention to Matthew 11:25-30.

As we gather to worship our loving Father this Lord’s day, we will join our hearts in song, singing the Hymn of Praise “A Debtor to Mercy Alone,” the Acclamation of Praise “My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less,” and the Hymn of Response “My Worth Is Not in What I Own.”  Let us come to worship this Sunday prepared to hear God’s Word, to receive it in faith, to love and treasure it in our hearts, and to practice it in our lives that we may continue to glorify and enjoy Him!

If you’re going to be out of town this Sunday, let me encourage you to listen to the sermon online (usually posted by Monday afternoon) or you can download the REPC podcast, which will be delivered to your mobile device.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

The final decision to cancel Sunday’s worship services will be made by 6:30 am on Sunday. The congregation will know soon thereafter through announcements made on the church’s website, Facebook page, voicemail, and through WSET-TV. A churchwide email will also be sent. If the 8:30 service is cancelled, Sunday School will also be cancelled.
