HANDBELL CHOIRS FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH

Handbell music adds a special instrumental dimension to our worship experiences here at Rivermont.  The sound of handbells can bring a sense of joyfulness and excitement to our praise of God, and at other times can evoke a sense of peace and serenity.  Many of the hymn arrangements presented in the services have texts which are familiar to us.

All handbell choirs rehearse each Wednesday and present special music in Sunday worship services approximately once each month, September through May.  A member of a handbell choir should have some music background, but no previous ringing experience is necessary.

Carillon Handbell Choir (Adults and High School age)  Most members of this group have had previous handbell choir experience.

Celebration Bells (Adults and High School age)  Participants will experience the joy of ringing and learn the fundamentals of playing handbells.

Praise Ringers and Rivermont Chimes (4th grade and above)   Members will develop their musical talents and skills through participation in these children's handbell and handchime choirs.
