Short Term Missions

Vision:

We believe Jesus Christ calls us to go into all the world proclaiming the good news of the gospel, demonstrating the compassion of Christ, and making disciples of all nations.

Short-term missions can provide believers with tangible opportunities for both the proclamation and demonstration of the gospel message.

Direction: The Short-term Missions Committee is a subcommittee of the larger Missions Steering Committee. Its main area of focus is short-term mission opportunities. It reports directly to the larger committee and seeks guidance and counsel from that committee on matters relating to its particular focus.
Purpose:

To encourage and enable members of Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church to become involved in short-term missions by:

1. Providing a funding mechanism for their support.

2. Posting an annual list of trip opportunities and sponsoring agencies.

3. Planning and coordinating church-sponsored short-term mission trips.

4. Providing information and assistance to those planning for a short-term mission trip:

  • Passport information and assistance
